Major factors responsible for malnutrition in urban slum children include improper infant feeding practices, inadequate food and health security, poor environment and housing conditions, absence of responsible adult caregiver and lack of reach and coordination of public sector services. Sona Sarovar Trust provides nutritional food on a daily basis to 75 children in slum areas of Andheri to overcome the health problems and make them feel good.
